2019 SPRING BREAK CAMP: KINDERGARTEN - 8TH GRADE -- THE ARISTOCATS
MARCH 11-15, 2019: Enjoy singing, dancing and acting to this Disney Classic - The Aristocats and learn what it takes to put on a show in just 5 days!
REHEARSALS: Monday-Friday from 9a-5p
PERFORMANCE: FRIDAY, MARCH 15, 2019 - 6:30p.
Campers will stay at the theater on Friday for a pizza party before their performance. MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR PERFORMANCE TO PARTICIPATE IN CAMP.

Theater Audition Workshop -- Ages 8-16
Cost: $50 (includes headshot suitable for printing)
Whether you want to learn how to audition or you want to hone your auditioning skills for the upcoming Willy Wonka production, join Willy Wonka director DeAnna McDearmont and Studio B director/instructor Shayleigh Ward for this fun and informative audition workshop. This workshop will cover everything you need to know for audition at Studio B. Learn how to pick and prepare a monologue, cold reading techniques, how to quickly prepare for a dance audition and how to choose and prepare for a musical audition. This workshop will teach you how to present yourself and properly audition in front of directors. Students will each have headshots taken suitable for printing and using at auditions. In addition, a parent guide will be sent home to guide parents through the auditioning process and how to help their child build an acting resume.
SATURDAY, MARCH 16, 2019 / 2pm - 5pm
Theater Make up Workshop -- Ages 8-16
Join Kaitlyn McDearmont and explore stage make up. Students will learn basic stage corrective techniques (such as skin tone, highlighting, blending and shadowing), old age (wrinkles, lines), character/animals and injuries (including scars, cuts, bruises) using stage make up. This class includes some supplies but students are asked to bring a basic Ben Nye theatrical make up kit to class. A link will be emailed after registration.

Theater Improv -- Ages 8-14
Join Studio B Instructor and comedian Shayleigh Ward for the Spring 2019 Comedy and Improv Workshop. This workshop teaches students how to think on their feet, work creatively and collaboratively with scene partners and the most valuable skill an actor could ever have...LISTENING! This workshop will explore the basics of improv, stand up and comedy writing; and how to apply those skills in all other performances! If you're interested in studying this unique and exciting artform, just say YES AND register today.

Stage Management 101 -- Ages 10-16
Have you ever been interested in becoming a stage manager? This informative class will teach you what you need to know to become an effective and skilled stage manager. Learn the fundamentals of how to pre-plan for a production and how to carry out your skills through the final performance. Learn what exactly is expected of a stage manager, how to properly organize sets and props, how to work with the actors and what you can do to help the director.

Please note that our system will automatically drop your child
from the class 12 hours after registering if payment is not
entered at the time of registration. If you plan on paying by
check at the theater, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
right after registering so we can mark the system to NOT
drop your child's registration. Check must be dropped off or mailed
to the theater no later than SEVEN days after registration in
order to hold your child's spot. No refunds are given after
After registration and payment is processed, you will get
an email confirmation. In addition, you will also get an
email parent packet a couple of weeks before the class/workshop
starts which will contain important information.
If you do not get this, please let us know.
If you have opted for the payment plan, your credit card
you placed on file will be charged within 72 hours of
registering and then on the first of each month in equal
payments until the workshop/class/camp is paid off.
If you need to make changes to your payment plan,
please log in to your account to make appropriate
changes or contact the office.
Please note there are no refunds on classes/workshops
for any reason unless canceled by Studio B.
Please make sure you have entered a valid email
address and are opted to get emails from Studio B.
By registering for any class, workshop, intensive or
auditioning for any production, you are giving your
permission for you/your child to be photographed/videotaped.
Images may be used by Studio B Performing Arts Center
for promotional materials. Studio B will make every effort
to provide a safe environment for all participants and crew.
By registering/auditioning, you agree to release, indemnify,
hold harmless and defend Studio B Performing Arts Center,
The Highland Village Parks Foundation and all Studio B
staff, participants, volunteers and personnel from and
against any and all liabilities, costs or obligations
whatsoever whether for loss, damage, theft or injury to
persons or property or otherwise, in any manner arising
